2010 Rogers 7th Grade House League
The 7th graders will be playing in a league of their own again this year and team will be placed into the Gopher State NorthStar House League. The NorthStar league is comprised of House league teams from surrounding communities such as Elk River, Zimmerman, Anoka-Ramsey and others.
The 7th Grade House League is for 7th graders only and players begin playing on nearly regulation field dimensions and incorporate most high school baseball rules. Players must go through an evaluation process in late April and then coaches will "draft" players for their teams. This is meant to keep a "competitive balance" throughout the league. Teams from the Rogers area will be placed into the Gopher State Northstar House League with house league teams from neighboring communities such as Elk River, Anoka-Ramsey, Zimmerman and others.
A new evaluation process will be used in 2010! See the House/Travel Evaluation/Tryout Process page for details.
See the evaluation date/time/locations here --> House League Evals
Game nights and times are dictated by the Gopher State Northstar League. Practices are scheduled by individual coaches. You will be notified by your coach of your practice and game times once the team drafts are completed in early May. The regular season is tentatively set to begin the week of May 11th, 2009 but final scheduling won't be done until late April.
NOTE: Due to the large number of teams in the Gopher State Northstar League, they do NOT include season ending playoffs in their schedue. It is up to local communities to schedule playoffs if they so desire. We are tentatively planning to have playoffs in Rogers in July, 2010 if the schedules can be worked out.
